Allianz Partners, a global leader in insurance and assistance services, has signed a strategic partnership agreement for Europe markets with Chery International, a Chinese automobile manufacturer. Chery is renowned for being the leading Chinese car exporter for 22 consecutive years and the number one overseas Chinese car seller in 2024. The three-year framework cooperation agreement, which will start with Europe and be effective until December 31, 2027, was formalized during an official signing ceremony hosted by Chery International on February 15, 2025, in Wuhu, Anhui, China.
Under this agreement, Chery will cooperate with Allianz Partners as its preferred partner to jointly set up insurance and service programs covering Motor Third Party Liability (MTPL), Motor Own Damage (MOD), Road Side Assistance (RSA) and New/Used Vehicle and Battery Warranty Extension (EXW), and Ancillary Services for Chery´s commercial sales of vehicles and commercial fleets across Europe. The partnership will also explore cooperation initiatives around Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives, data connectivity, and derivative solutions such as Usage Based Insurance (UBI), Mobility as a Service (MaaS), and Cyber protection.
The partners aim to launch and implement innovative insurance and service products across key European markets, including Italy, Poland, and Spain, where Allianz and Chery have already cooperated in the field of Motor Insurance and Roadside Assistance. Additional new markets, where Chery has an operational presence, such as Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands, will be jointly evaluated for potential expansion in 2025 and beyond.
