Who can use the app?
The app can be used by eligible Studentsafe policyholders who have paid their premium. It is currently being rolled out to international students. If you have family members confirmed under your policy and have paid the additional premium, your family members may also use the app.
Does it cost anything to use the app?
The app is free to download and there is no additional cost to use the personalised training programme, the full library of content, Wellbeing Assessments and your allocation of up to 2 hours of coaching sessions.
Will my results be shared with anyone?
Your responses to the Wellbeing Assessment will be anonymous unless you have opted to utilise the coaching service. If a coach determines that urgent support is required based on your results, they may contact you. However, conversations with a coach are strictly confidential between you and your coach.
Can I keep using the app while I visit my home country?
The app is available for you to use as long as you hold a valid Studentsafe policy. If you are using a different phone number while you’re abroad, you can update your phone number in the settings of the app to remain contactable during your time abroad - just make sure to change back to your New Zealand number when you return.
How many coaching sessions are available?
If required, you have been allocated four 30 minute coaching sessions for additional support. If you have finished using this allocation and your coach recommends further support, you will be referred to Campus Care.
How do my family members register?
Family members who are confirmed under your policy and have paid the additional premium, can also sign up for the app. They should fill out their details upon registering and use your student ID number.
